The biggest problem with American politics: rhetoric will trump facts every day of the week, and politics will trump sound policy twice on Sunday. Sad too, because there are probly many intelligent people attending these tea parties today. Intelligent, yet sadly blinded by partisan nonsense. Where were these “patriots” in the last eight years as the Bush Administration spent so much money that 25% of our current federal debt was accumulated in these two presidential terms? Where were these “patriots” when the Bush Administration spent an additional trillion dollars plus every year from 2000 to 2008? Or where were they when the federal government grew by nearly two-thirds in the same period? Do these tea parties have much to do with real criticisms on fiscal decision making, or more to do with partisan sportsmanship? Hmmm… I wonder. How can anyone buy this?
